As an ice climbing venue, Norway’s Rjukan valley needs little introduction. With easy access, short approaches and reliable conditions, it is widely regarded as one of the premiere ice climbing destinations in Eorupe, if not the world.

This guidebook describes more than 200 of the valley’s best ice climbs, from the multi-pitch adventures of Mæl and Kong Vinter, and the infamous world-classics of the Upper Gorge, to the floodlit icefalls above the town centre and the roadside crags of Ozzimosis and Krokan – arguable some of the most famous “ice-crags” on the planet.
